EnA Jewelry "Walks" the Runway at New York Fashion Week

Elements and Alloys (EnA) featured at the Carmen Marc Valvo Spring 2010 Ready to Wear Show.

Philadelphia, PA, October 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Elements and Alloys (EnA) made its fashion show debut on Sunday, September 13th, at the Carmen Marc Valvo Spring 2010 event in Times Square. The show took place from 6:30 until 9:30 in the NASDAQ building and simultaneously was displayed on the Fox, NASDAQ and Thompson-Reuters jumbo-tron screens in Times Square. The World Gold Council partnered with Valvo to present this momentous event by bringing fashion week to the public and featured work by a selection of fine jewelry designers.

Models at the show were adorned with jewelry from an impressive array of jewelers including EnA and their luxury precious metal pieces as part of the show’s "Urban Jungle" theme. The gold jewelry was a perfect complement to the gold and metallic details and embellishments of Valvo’s creations. Inspired by "modern armor for the urban jungle," layered chains and statement earrings made of 18 karat yellow gold and blackened sterling silver paired well with the eveningwear and swimwear.

"To be represented by the World Gold Council and included in New York Fashion Week with such a revered designer as Carmen Marc Valvo, not to mention the visibility of this event in Times Square, is really gratifying for Elements and Alloys," states co-founder, Karen Moustafellos. Duvall O’Steen of the World Gold Council and Shaye Strager, the stylist, masterfully created looks that integrated the jewelry into each outfit.

Karen and James Moustafellos, the founders of EnA, entered the jewelry industry from architecture and design. Working exclusively with high karat gold, sterling silver, and high-grade stainless steel, the allure of EnA’s minimal jewelry is derived from the characteristics of the metals themselves and the details of their execution. The jewelry reflects a geometric rigor and abstract purity that unexpectedly comes to life and transforms into kinetic objects when worn. All of the pieces are made in the United States using eco-friendly recycled precious metals.
