Baby Boomer Builds Website Dedicated to the "Middle-age" Lifestyle
Charlotte, NC, October 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Fed up with few websites geared towards Baby Boomers, a Charlotte, NC man designed Radioactive Rambler, a website aimed at those born between 1946 and 1964. With it's cry: 'Cause Middle Age is Not for Wimps, the site is designed to call attention to the middle-age lifestyle. Issues covered on the site include aging, libido, relating, dating, and health.
Website owner Brian Keller, 52, says the idea for the site came to him one night after "massive quantities" of caffeine.
"It's so easy to find sites aimed at teens and young adults, " Keller says. "It's as if society thinks you're dead after 40."
Not so, says Keller. "We're an active bunch. We live, laugh, and love as much as the younger adults--perhaps with a little less energy. And, heck, if we need more energy, we take nutritional supplements."
While Keller admits those in middle-age do use social networking sites, like Facebook and Twitter, to stay in touch with peers, they need more than these sites to fill their needs.
"Baby Boomers crave news and information related to their lifestyle--topics like anti-aging, dating after 40, or how to develop a healthy libido," Keller explains."They need a site that meets many of their needs all in one place. That's where Radioactive Rambler comes in."
No topic related to middle-age and the lifestyle it brings is off limits, according to Keller.
"I am constantly tweaking my site to fit its audience."
Though in it's infancy, Radioactive Rambler plans to attract a larger, more active audience of Baby Boomers by offering online chat, increasing age-relevant information, and delivering a discussion forum aimed at those over 40. Think of the forums as like a Town Hall meeting, says Keller.
"Say what's on your mind," says Keller. "This is your site. Without you, Radioactive Rambler wouldn't exist."
