Billy Darnell Music announces major changes in their promotional, and marketing Concept. This new concept is a major change from the traditional marketing of country music artists, and is designed to increase the fan base, promote Radio air play, and create a new business partnership between the artist and the retail market.

Nashville, TN, October 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- In this day of the ever changing landscape of the music industry, Billy Darnell Music has decided to move away from the traditional marketing aspects, and move towards a more innovative concept. This new approach will basically allow the company to over come several major obstacles in the process of promoting a relatively new independent artist.

The company has revamped the website for a more focused effect , and are going to go from a set retail to an open license to download a complete CD (complete with all the art work for the CD) , or individual songs, for free, and ask the consumer if they enjoy it to make a donation, though a donation is not required to obtain the download. This will allow the listener to keep only the songs they like, and hopefully the consumer will make a donation that reflects that. It will also allow any country music fan to listen to the songs without any risk what so ever, thus allowing the artist to build the fan base much more rapidly.

Another obstacle facing any new new artist is distribution to Radio stations, and DJ's, world wide. These clients will now be able to download any song the artist has recorded for air play. One other problem often encountered, and the reason many Radio stations wont accept a single MP3, is that many countries have an anti-piracy law, which prohibits a station from playing a song if they don't have a hard copy of the CD on the premises. With this new distribution model in place, the station can download the art work to replicate the original CD packaging, and thus create the required hard copy.

Last but not least is a new innovative strategy to obtain world wide retail outlet distribution. Billy Darnell Music is offering a retail distribution license to replicate and sell CD's based upon a shared expense, shared profit, partnership. The company has invested the cost of the production of the music, and the art work, the retailer would share the expense in providing the replication of the CD. The profit would be split 50/50 with a minimum required retail of $10. The reality is this concept probably wont work for a major retail chain, but the company is focusing on the hundreds, if not thousands, of small retailers out there that might embrace this concept, in an attempt to increase their product line, have a unique offer, and increase their profits.
