Mental Health Care Foundation 5th Annual Children's Crisis Center Breakfast
Breakfast Event, November 5, 2009, to benefit the Children's Crisis Center at Mental Health Care in Tampa.
Tampa, FL, October 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Mental Health Care Foundation is hosting a breakfast to raise money for Mental Health Care’s, Children’s Crisis Center. The breakfast will take place at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Tampa on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Doors open at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast and the program beginning promptly at 7:30 a.m., lasting until 8:30 a.m. WFLA-TV news Anchor, Gayle Sierens, will emcee the Breakfast. They are very grateful to their Grand Champion sponsor, The Howarth Group at Merrill Lynch for their lead gift. All proceeds will go towards the Children’s Crisis Center to help upgrade and improve the facility and enhance the quality of therapeutic supplies.
The primary goal of the Children’s Crisis Center is to provide emergency psychiatric evaluation and treatment to children ages 5-17 experiencing emotional or behavioral problems so severe they present a danger to themselves or others. Last year over 1,600 children were served at the Center and that number continues to grow. The Children’s Crisis Center is the only facility in Hillsborough County that offers crisis evaluation and inpatient psychiatric intervention for children and adolescents.
Committee Chairs Irene Guy and Andrew Cohen ask for your support of the event and invite everyone to learn more about the Center and how it is meeting a critical need for the young people in our community. For tickets and sponsorship information, call the Mental Health Care Foundation of Tampa (813) 239-8172.
