SITM and GRAPA Address Asian Revenue Assurance at Communique ’09: Asian Telecoms Seminar
GRAPA Addresses Regional Telecoms Leaders on Revenue Assurance’s Role in ‘Connecting Asia,’ as well as Post-Downturn Telecoms Management in India and beyond
Chicago, IL, October 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Global Revenue Assurance Professional Association (GRAPA) presented telecoms luminaries at Communique ’09 with a forward-looking vision of revenue assurance—one relevant to Asian, Indian and developing markets. The presentation was delivered by Louis Khor, GRAPA’s Director of Research and Industry Analysis, at the annual Asian Telecoms Seminar organized by the Symbiosis Institute of Telecoms Management (SITM) in Pune, India.
“GRAPA is proud to partner with such an august academic institution as SITM, and to participate in an international conference that truly addresses regional issues. The diversity of telecoms operations around the world demands unique focus on the needs of local markets, and having high level professional conferences like these where giants in the industry meet and talk about the current state of regional affairs is invaluable—not only for corporate delegates, but the presenters and panelists,” said Rob Mattison, GRAPA’s President.
The presentation focused on the special role played by revenue assurance professionals in helping telcos weather the financial storms that have battered much of the world. With revenue assurance departments having grown throughout the downturn, and with them continuing to do so even as the recovery gathers pace, it has become clear that revenue assurance as a profession has gained prominence in telco operations independent of the global business cycle—in no small part due to GRAPA’s efforts to professionalize the industry and develop internationally ratified revenue assurance standards.
