Atlanta Design Community Comes Together with Hope for a Cure
Atlanta Design Community comes together to create a bedroom for an eight year old girl who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Atlanta, GA, October 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A month ago, eight year old Lily Anderson was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Cancer. In the short time since this diagnosis, there has been a tremendous community out pouring of support and love. As great friends of the Anderson’s, interior designers Kerry Howard and Lyndsy Woods are right in line for doing anything they can to support Lily. Using their expertise, the two decided to design Lily the bedroom of her dreams.
Lily has a special design touch of her own and even has a nickname of “Style Anderson”, she thinks peace signs are really cool, loves turtles, and lime green is her favorite color. Kerry and Lyndsy are on a mission to incorporate all of Lily’s loves into a strikingly beautiful design with new furniture and accessories. Through strong industry relationships, Kerry and Lyndsy were able to work with World of Rugs & Furniture to have furniture pieces donated to anchor the rooms design. In no time, not only is Lily’s room going to be perfect, but it is going be a daily reminder that she has family, friends and a community that love and support her.
This Sunday, October 11th at 1:00pm, join Lily’s Run at Vickery Village in Cumming, GA to help raise money for Lily and her family as they face a long and hopeful battle. The special event will host Chopper, the Braves' mascot, live music, food vendors, games, prizes, face painting, jump houses, a pumpkin patch, and a HUGE silent auction. Kerry Howard made the move to North Atlanta in 2003, where he currently resides and is the owner and operator of Howard House Interiors. Kerry describes his style of design as eclectic, with a mix of traditional and contemporary. He is focused primarily on residential design work, although he also enjoys redesigning showrooms.
Lyndsy Woods, owner of L Kae Interiors, brings a passion for creating spaces that balance the necessary function with comfort and client style. Lyndsy is known for working to combine design elements that meld exteriors and interiors to reflect the architectural design a home deserves.
