The Anderson & Anderson Anger Management Curriculum is Selected by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for Use in Its Jails
Anderson & Anderson was chosen as the exclusive provider of anger management certification training for the staff of EIMAGO, Inc. to provide anger management to court-mandated inmates in select prisons.
Los Angeles, CA, October 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The internationally recognized Anderson & Anderson anger management model has been selected by EIMAGO, Inc., which provides substance abuse counseling and anger management for inmates at Twin Towers, Lynwood, and North County Correctional Facility.
Five members of the counseling staff, which included a case manager, a mentoring coordinator, and a custody assistant, received certification in the Anderson & Anderson curriculum. These Certified Anger Management Facilitators will now provide anger management to all court mandated inmates at the facilities mentioned.
These new facilitators were trained to help their clients master four important skills: 1.) managing anger, 2.) managing stress, 3.) communicating assertively, and 4.) demonstrating emotional intelligence. They were each given a chance to experience the Anderson & Anderson anger management process, which begins with assessments that measure each individual's current level of functioning in the four skills mentioned above, as well as a their personal orientation (or motivation) to change. The groundbreaking Anderson & Anderson anger management workbook, "Gaining Control of Ourselves", was used in conjunction with ancillary DVDs and handouts during this one-day training.
The Anderson & Anderson anger management curriculum is the most widely used model in the world. A partial list of jails, prisons and police departments using this model include the Cayman Island Prison, the Bermuda Prison, San Diego Navy Brig, Riverside County Sheriff's Department, San Quentin State Prison, and the Valley State Prison for Women.
Anderson & Anderson is offering anger management training seminars in the one-day, two-day, and complete 40-hour formats to government agencies on-site anywhere in the nation. More information about these exciting programs can be found by calling Anderson & Anderson and requesting an information packet, or by visiting the Anderson & Anderson web site.
