Every day he helps patients who cannot get the care they need because they lack health insurance - this book is an outgrowth of his efforts to help them. He has practiced in rural and urban America and in underdeveloped countries. When practicing in Maine on the Canadian border he was a provider for the Canadian Medicare system which covers all Canadians. Dr. Blythe is a member of Physicians for a National Health Program and feels that no American should be denied needed health care. He ran for congress in 2008 to try to bring his message to Washington.
