Karen Ross Named to Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board
Membership Services and Small Business Department Board Montgomery’s Florist President Serves on Chamber Board
Raleigh, NC, September 25, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Karen Ross, president of Montgomery’s Florist, has been named to the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Membership Services and Small Business Department Board. As a member of this board, Ross will work to develop networking, marketing and training programs that are designed to ultimately put members in touch with prospective customers. The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of the local business community and is made up of over 4,800 members.

Karen Ross, a Rocky Mount native, is active in a number of civic and charitable organizations. Formerly President of the League of Women Voters and Vice President of the Junior League of Raleigh, she currently serves on the Inaugural Ball Committee that honors the newly elected Governor. Karen volunteers with the Boys and Girls Club of Raleigh, United Arts Council, and Building Together, and participates in the South Central Wake County Branch of the NAACP and the Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood Development. She is an active member on committees for Prevent Blindness, Special Olympics, Theater in the Park, Aldert Root Elementary, March of Dimes, YWCA’s Academy of Women, Visual Arts Exchange, Learning Together, Triangle United Way, Rex Classic, Wake County Fraternal Order of Police, Museum of Natural Science, Raise a Racquet Against Breast Cancer, and Communities in School of Wake County. Most recently, she was appointed to the Board of Advisors for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and has sponsored the Pinnacle Awards and two Executive Women’s luncheons at the Chamber. Ross was named one of the 25 most influential Women In Business by the Triangle Business Journal.
