UCLA Medical Professor to Speak About Breast Cancer Reconstruction Options at The Wellness Community

Westlake Village, CA, October 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura will host a free Breast Cancer Connection seminar titled: “Breast Cancer Reconstruction Options with Jay Granzow, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S.,” Thursday, October 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The talk will take place at 530 Hampshire Road in Westlake Village. Participants will learn about the different types of breast reconstruction procedures available, as well as the pros and cons of each type to help breast cancer survivors make informed choices. The myths surrounding each procedure, typical recovery times, and insurance coverage will be discussed.

Speaker Jay Granzow, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S. is the Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and Assistant Chief of Plastic Surgery at Harbor UCLA Medical Center. He has trained extensively in breast reconstruction techniques, including the most up-to-date DIEP Flap. His specialties are in the aesthetic/cosmetic surgery of the breast, body and face, rhinoplasty, breast reconstruction, and microsurgery.
