The Evening that Latin Hip Hop Shined - Batalla De Los Gallos Winner Chosen

New York, NY, September 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- La Batalla De Los Gallos was the hottest battle to hit N.Y. for the second time. Representing the Latin community in Hip Hop, bringing together over 40 MC’s from across the nation in one place to showcase the form of lyrical battling in a way that is seldom seen among the Latin Hip Hop Genre. This year, New York City’s representative flew in from the City of Angels “Los Angeles – California” to compete and take home the crown as the winner of New York City’s qualifier. Going through what seemed to be the toughest array of lyricists to hit the genre, he was able to triumph over everyone else without losing fire. The five rounds that led up to the Final Championship Round were all filled with MC’s that had talent beyond that of your typical rappers.

Each round consisting of two MC’s head to head to fight it out with terms given to them by the judges. Only winning after destroying their opponent with lyrical prowess. Each MC had thirty seconds to attack the other two until one of the MC’s gave up or choked. Lasting well over 10 minutes, the final round brought the best of the night and let everyone know that the winner truly was a real MC. Sami took home the crown and will now be flown to Colombia to face off with 12 winners from 12 Spanish speaking countries where one will be crowned the King of Latin Hip Hop.
