Simutech Releases New Version of Troubleshooting Industrial Controls
Troubleshooting Industrial Controls V1.5 is electrical simulation training software designed to develop advanced skills for troubleshooting all types of industrial control systems.
Ottawa, Canada, October 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Simutech Multimedia, a leader in simulation-based electrical troubleshooting training software, announces the release of Version 1.5 of Troubleshooting Industrial Controls, for immediate availability. This new version, previously titled FPS 3000 Troubleshooting Simulator, includes improved simulation capabilities, enhanced scoring and reporting, and a new regional settings option.
The focus of Troubleshooting Industrial Controls is a complex simulation of a typical fluid processing system designed to represent the industrial control systems found in many industries, from food processing to petrochemical refineries. The software teaches users a systematic approach for troubleshooting and repairing both electrical and mechanical faults safely and efficiently.
With more realistic simulation behavior, the improved simulator engine makes this new version of Troubleshooting Industrial Controls a more effective training tool. The simulator improvements include more accurate component behavior, specifically transformer regulation, where the voltage now drops with increased load.
The new program also contains an updated scoring and evaluation system, which provides more thorough scoring and the ability for both the student and the instructor to print out a Progress Report to track skill development.
Now with a regional settings option, Troubleshooting Industrial Controls offers the flexibility of two advanced industrial control system simulations. With this option the system can be customized to use either NEMA or IEC standards, affecting the design standards used for the simulation, the system voltage levels, and the circuit drawings used throughout the program.
Version 1.5 is available in four editions. The Student and Expert Editions are available for personal use, while the Business and Enterprise Editions are available for use in business, industry and the educational sector.
The Simutech Course Manager, a comprehensive administration system, is included with the Enterprise Edition, along with Instructor Resources to help integrate the Troubleshooting Industrial Controls software into a new or an existing course.
