SecureRF Opens Office at Connecticut Innovation’s CTech Incubator

SecureRF's new office at Connecticut Innovation’s CTech Incubator provides flexibility to grow technical and engineering staff.

New Haven, CT, October 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- SecureRF Corporation announces the opening of a research and development office at Connecticut Innovation’s CTech Incubator at Science Park at Yale in New Haven, CT. SecureRF, developer of the world’s first linear-based security methods, will be expanding its engineering and software development staff at this location.

“With our recent National Science Foundation (NSF) Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant and commercial pilot projects we realized the need for a location that is more conducive to expanding our technical team,” said Louis Parks, SecureRF’s CEO. “The CTech Incubator gives us the flexibility to add space as we need it and provides a great entrepreneurial environment for collaboration and development.

“CTech is not just an incubator with space to rent,” said Charlie Moret, Managing Director of Business Development at Connecticut Innovations. “It is part of our accelerator program, where start up and early stage companies can work in a community setting. We provide a network of advisors and programming dedicated to bringing knowledge and resources to help our companies grow and expand.”

SecureRF’s team of mathematician/cryptographers has developed the world’s first linear-based cryptography methods that are small enough and efficient enough to directly address the need for security solutions in resource-constrained devices. With funding from the NSF SBIR grant, SecureRF is using this patent-pending security method, known as Algebraic Eraser™, to develop a secure, passive radio frequency identification (RFID) tag which will meet the confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication and other security needs of the $231B pharmaceutical supply chain. Last year, SecureRF received an SBIR grant from the US Air Force to develop a secure global active RFID solution for use by both land-based and satellite reader systems.

SecureRF recently released SecureM2M™, a security software development kit (SDK) that provides strong authentication and data protection solutions for machine-to machine environments with low-resource platforms such as microcontrollers and integrated circuits. SecureRF’s methods are also applicable to high value asset tracking, contactless payment systems, wireless sensor networks, machine-to machine authentication, and protection for the Smart Grid and Defense/Homeland Security border security systems.

About SecureRF
SecureRF Corporation provides secure embedded and radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions for high value asset tracking, monitoring and anti-counterfeiting applications in the pharmaceutical, food, defense, homeland security and other sectors. The company’s technology, based on a breakthrough in cryptography that is lightweight yet highly secure, provides authentication and data protection for embedded systems, RFID tags, sensor networks and other low resource devices. SecureRF’s LIME Tag™ is a secure, battery-assisted, passive RFID tag, which meets both EPCglobal and ISO standards, with optional sensors that provide cold chain management functionality. SecureM2M™, a security software development kit (SDK), provides strong authentication and data protection solutions for low-resource platforms such as microcontrollers and integrated circuits.
