Atlanta, GA, October 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Inspired and motivated by his own dissatisfaction with the hip-hop industry, Gphonix set out to create a well crafted mix of hip-hop, rap, R&B, and soul—needless to say he accomplished this task. With creative lyricism accompanied by smooth vocals and tangible concepts, Gphonix’s “Hooked on Gphonix” mixtape is a surefire classic mixtape that can be appreciated by a wide range of music connoisseurs.
Gphonix, born Gregory Teasley, is an Atlanta, Georgia native seemingly poised for greatness from the beginning. Gregory began singing at the age of 6 and by the age of 9, he knew that he seriously wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. In his teenage years, he began to create his own music productions and began his journey to making it in the music industry.
At the age of 17, Gregory joined a group by the name of “Threat.” As a group Threat enjoyed great success very quickly as they became a part of the Scream 2 Tour also featuring Bow Wow, B2K, and IMx. After completed their first tour experience, Threat began opening up for various artists such as Mario, Marquis Houston, Avant, and more. Greg now known as “Gphonics,” was a formidable force behind the scenes as a brilliant writer, producer, and studio engineer. As time progressed, Threat and Gphonics parted ways and he continued to produce music.
Immediately after going separating from Threat, Gphonics began utilizing his skills as an engineer/producer for various artists such as Kandi from Xscape, Gerald Levert, 8Ball and MJG, Tamar Braxton, and Yung Joc.
After experiencing tour life, being a member of a recording group, and interacting with industry veterans, Gphonix is ready to take on the music industry.
