Shirtworks, a leading promotional garment printing company, has been a surprise hit at the Cambridge University Fresher's Fair with its unique 'Cambridge University Shark Fighting Association' promotional t-shirts
Oxford, United Kingdom, October 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Shirtworks, a leading promotional garment printing company has been a surprise hit at the Cambridge University Fresher's Fair with the creative 'Cambridge University Shark Fighting Association' promotional t-shirt campaign. The t-shirt printing company had an exhibition stand at the fair to promote their garment printing and embroidery services to the university's clubs and societies. The t-shirts, branded with the fictitious Shark Fighting Association logo, have proven to be incredibly popular, with 1000 t-shirts given away on the first day of the fair. "Anybody can turn up to a Fresher's fair and talk about what they do, we wanted to do something more exciting than that, whilst at the same time giving physical proof of the quality of our promotional clothing products," explained Shirtworks MD Arron Harnden. "We hit upon the idea of creating a fictional association to showcase the kinds of t-shirts we produce for university clubs and societies. The T-shirts were going to be for the Cambridge University Dolphin Trainers Association, but then inspiration struck with the Shark Fighting Association and the rest is history."
When asked why the t-shirts have been so popular, Arron replied; "Students have a great sense of humour and immediately loved the bizarre nature of the fictional association. The logo is eye-catching, and would be a great ice breaker. I can just imagine a student wearing one in a bar and someone coming over to ask about their shark fighting! But in all seriousness," Arron added, "Shirtworks has a long established relationship with university colleges and clubs, so we hope that the students at the Fresher's fair saw first hand how passionate we are about working with their societies in the future, and that we have a sense of humour too!"
