Zipline Squib Promotions announces new project, nationally recognized artist B.O.B a.k.a. Bobby Ray will be headlining the 4th installment of The ATL Jump Off; a popular, unconventional Atlanta hip hop event. Sponsors include Comcast, New Era, Vinnie Styles, Chilly-O, Zipline Squib...

Atlanta, GA, October 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The previous 3 Jump Off’s, though they have not received much media attention due to their underground and word of mouth organization, have been growing in popularity from roughly 400 people attending the first event to over 1,000 people at the Jump Off 3. The enormous success of these events is due in no small part to the efforts of Atlanta rapper Tom P who has headlined each of the previous 3 Jump Off events bringing out his large and devoted crowd of fans and followers. For this fourth installment, B.O.B a.k.a. Bobby Ray has been brought into the mix not just because of his growing success in the national scene, but also because of the nature and quality of his music. Both of these headlining performers are currently at the for-front of an emerging movement of like minded artists who stray from the trend of simple and catchy, and offer a more stylistic and thought provoking approach to Atlanta’s urban music and culture.

The world has come to know Atlanta as a hip hop mecca for it’s flashy, thematically club dominated style of music, but things are quickly changing. B.O.B is an Atlanta native who has gained national fame and mainstream coverage for his unique musical abilities. He has several major hits under his belt. He performed on B.E.T and the Espy Awards, has released several popular mix tapes and has been featured on songs with TI, Pharrell, Ludacris, and others. He graced the cover of XXL magazine; deeming him one of the top ten new rappers to look out for, and will be releasing his debut album on Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records in the near future. This success is merely a footprint of things to come from not just B.O.B, but other serious artists in the Atlanta music scene as well.

Among these emerging artists is Tom P. Currently unsigned and self-managed, he has generated an impressively large following. He has officially put out 1 album which has been circulating around the city, and recently a 3 song teaser for his next album launched to thousands of fans through facebook. In fact, Tom P has organized many popular shows including the Jump Off events primarily through facebook and word of mouth with not a single flyer printed. Nonetheless, he has gained much attention within the local community and established himself as one of the key players in it's scene as both an artist and entrepreneur. He has said of his shows “I am unsigned with the experience of an artist deep in the game. People see my shows and try to hire me as a promoter, but I do not promote… I make music that people actually want to tell people about."

Zipline Squib is an Atlanta based PR organization focused primarily in the recognition of creative production originating in the Atlanta area. Its latest project, the ATL Jump Off 4 will also feature performances by popular local artists Stanza, (recently seen on B.E.T's 106 & Park), who just dropped the hit "atl love" that is quickly becoming a local classic, and artists The Canz. This time Tom P is teaming up with popular and well respected host, Fort Knox (Tru Skool Tuesday at Apache) and his team, Strong Arm Management. They will be organizing and throwing this Dec. 4 show at the Spring Forth Center in Midtown. The show is Sponsored by Comcast, Channel 1, Zipline Squib, Whynatte, Vinnie Styles, Chilly-O, I Do Music, and New Era. Despite many improvements to the venue, this next show can now only hold 800 people.
