About the Book (Excerpts & Info):
Kerri walked away from the phone, dazed by what she had just heard. She then remembered the strange feeling she had when DJ and Cal drove off that first day of their trip. It was happening again. Was it a premonition I had or what? I remember Mom telling me that she thought I was sensing something in the spirit forewarning me of something terrible that was about to happen - sending me to my knees in prayer.
The family left for the Evans' house for dinner. It was hard to be cheerful over seeing Cathy for the first time since November, with the heavy concern for Karyn.
After giving Cathy a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek, Kerri turned to her parents and said, "We need to tell you of a grave incident that has happened in Mexico."
"Oh, dear," said Sharon, with a ghastly look on her face. "Has something happened to DJ?"
"No, Mother, DJ is just fine. But, Karyn, Paul Greene's daughter, has been kidnapped."
"Kidnapped?"
"Yes, kidnapped."
"When?"
"This afternoon. We aren't sure of all the details, but while Karyn and some other kids were taking a walk on the road in front of the parsonage, a car stopped and a man jumped out and grabbed her."
In 2008, Kerri: An Incredible Journey was Janet’s first novel in the series. In this sequel, the central character is again Kerri.
Kerri and her new husband strive hard to make their blended family work, but encounter and deal with the normal setbacks of day-to-day living. In the chaotic world we live in today, this story paints a picture of their strong commitment to God, which instills in them love and contentment. Two family members travel with a church youth group into Mexico to renovate a building into an orphanage, and a tragic incident ensues. Back in the States, Kerri's family, as well as the families of the other teens must deal with the situation. They realize it is completely out of their hands, so they turn to prayer and hold tight to their faith in God, but will that be enough?
Expertly constructed at 326 pages, "Kerri, Recaptured Love" is being aggressively promoted to appropriate markets with a focus on the Suspense Fiction category. With Global wholesale distribution through Ingram, Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Books A Million and Borders, and pervasive online availability through RealTime Publishing’s online store TheEbookSale.com, Amazon and elsewhere, "Kerri, Recaptured Love" meets consumer demand through both retail and library markets with a suggested retail price of $14.95 and $7.95, respectively.
