Moxxie Network women visit Lord & Taylor, Garden City, NY, and JONES NEW YORK (JNY) for an evening of style on October 8, 2009 with JNY’s resident expert, tastemaker, , and illustrator extraordinaire—Lloyd Boston.
Brightwaters, NY, October 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lord & Taylor, Garden City, NY, and JONES NEW YORK (JNY) hosted the Moxxie Network women for an evening of style on October 8, 2009 with JNY’s resident expert, tastemaker, , and illustrator extraordinaire—Lloyd Boston. The celebrity host of ‘Closet Cases’ and JNY’s style guy was the emcee for the hot fashion show featuring ‘look your best’ wardrobe essentials for this year’s women on the move. Lloyd Boston is not only America’s favorite ‘Style Guy’ and Lifestyle TV Host; millions of viewers from ‘Oprah’ and ‘NBC Today’, to ‘The View’ and ‘Extra’ follow Lloyd’s simple style philosophy.
The evening kicked off with an 90 minutes of informal business networking in the usual ‘Moxxie fashion’ with wine and delightful hors d'oeuvres hosted by Lord & Taylor’s SaraBeth Café , thanks to Joseph Ricaurte, General Manager and Allison Becker, Personal Shopper, Lord & Taylor, Garden City. Beth Meixner, Moxxie’s Founder and Creator, led facilitated networking and announced the new developments of the Moxxie Network on the continuing theme of ‘women-helping-women.’
Moxxie Network is fostering the development of the next generation of business women with varied programs including Moxxie Girl (their partnership with the Girl Scouts) Jr Moxxie (for college women) and Ms Moxxie (young professional women) as well as their strategic partnership with the internationally known Dress For Success / Brookhaven.
The fashionable evening continued to flow with flair as Moxxie women were escorted to take their exclusive reserved seats along the catwalk—ready to meet the charismatic Lloyd Boston in action. This fashion expert knows how to transform a look in a flash and demonstrated JONES NEW YORK Style Miles, as models strolled by in every shape and size imaginable in JNY collections.
To top off the evening, 5 Moxxie women won a Lloyd Boston on-the-spot style makeover, and every Moxxie woman received a special “shop til you drop Lord &Taylor discount card.” It was ‘cha ching’ for the Moxxie women that night following all the great tips from Lloyd’s simple style philosophy that “Less is Modern’ . The fashion show was a true demonstration of that and appropriately ended with Lloyd’s signature sign-off of “Case closed” - as all women (in L&T and TV land) were happy with the newly learned fashion tips.
