Self-Made-Man: K’s First Song is the Anthem of the SMM Generation

K's first single called Self-made-Man is the anthem for the Self-Made-Man Generation and is free to download on their website.

Montreal, Canada, October 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- October 2009 has seen the birth of a character called “K” who represents the Self-Made-Man Generation. This white lined character resides at: www.smmgeneration.com.

For the next two (2) years, “K” will put out 8 different songs (including Self-Made-Man) on its website and will make them available free to download. One song will be added every three months with the next one coming up early January of 2010.

Self-Made-Man was recorded at Studios Piccolo which was named Best Canadian Studio eight (8) years out of the last ten (10). The studio is owned by Céline Dion’s drummer (Dominique Messier) and has been a recording home for many major international artists such as: Simple Plan, Roger Hodson and Céline Dion.

Self-Made-Man is a techno/80s rhythm song with Arabic influences. It was engineered and mixed by the brother of the owner, Pierre Messier.

“Once you’ve listened to the song for a few times, it is very hard to get it out of your head. It has lots of catchy breaks and strong sensual vibes; a perfect song to dance to and keep us warm through the upcoming winter nights”.

Since the song is free to download, K invites all DJs to use it in their mix as they see fit. K also encourages anyone that wants to make his own video, based on the music, to do so freely and looks forward to seeing all the Self-Made-Men out there having fun and showing their self realization on YouTube.

Each of K’s song will have different influences. The next song’s lead theme will remind us of the Asian culture. Titled “Asian Fiend”, it talks about one of the principles of the SMM Generation; how in today’s world we need to become Men of the World. At the same time, it also remains very sensual and non-preaching. This song could be classified more as pop rock.

K and the Self-Made-Man Generation are parts of a project funded by Mother Nation Publishing, based in Montreal, Canada. The company was first created to finance that specific project but it has already received offers to publish other manuscripts and will most probably do so, as a regular publishing house, in 2010. As for K and the SMM Generation project, Mother Nation Publishing has already received propositions for movie rights.
