2010 Honda Insight Hybrid to Debut at San Jose State University as Part of "A New Shade of Green" Campaign
San Jose, CA, October 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Market-IN-Novation Communication, a student-run marketing agency at San Jose State University, has developed a marketing campaign to introduce the 2010 Honda Insight hybrid to their campus and community. The campaign is designed to increase awareness of, and excitement for the 2010 Honda Insight hybrid, positioning it as a “must-have” in the minds of the Generation Y target market.
The “New Shade of Green” campaign set to launch during the month of October will feature student created advertising efforts around the San Jose State campus to promote the 2010 Honda Insight, as well as an agency hosted event featuring the 2010 Insight. The purpose of this event is to capture the attention of the student body, and raise awareness of the 2010 Insight hybrid. During the “New Shade of Green”[TD1] event, a raffle will be held with prizes ranging from a new Sony PSP Bundle to the new Apple ipod Nano, and much more. This event will take place on Wednesday November 4, from 10:00 am-3:00 pm, at San Jose State University’s 9th St. Plaza. Students will have the chance to experience the Honda Insight first hand, while learning about this exciting, fun to drive hybrid that also allows young people to make a practical purchase and have a positive impact on the environment.
The “New Shade of Green” campaign is San Jose State’s student created submission for the national Honda Insight Marketing Competition, a program designed to give students a unique, real-world business experience by asking them to fully design and implement an integrated marketing communications plan. “The Honda Insight project gives me the opportunity to apply content learned in class to a real world situation. It also gives me the opportunity to experience and learn first hand about the business field that I plan to pursue after graduation,” said Aline Dorso, Agency Coordinator.
Each of the 21 schools across the country participating in the Honda Insight Marketing Competition are competing against one another for the opportunity to present their ideas to Honda executives at the term’s conclusion.
