Don P. Demyers, Ph.D., is a Professor of Biology, University of the District of Columbia, Washington, D.C. His work brought him to Washington, D.C. from New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Demyers earned his B.S. at Southern University of Louisiana, M.S. from Tulane University of Louisiana and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. As a Poet, he understands the social ecology of the human condition and wields the written craft of Poetry to enrapture the mind much like an artist wields a brush. His pages are a blank canvas on which to draw from a talent heralded by many and matched only by an imagination that rises to the task. I Think: Poetry For The 21st Century is the first in a series of his recent pursuits. He has work progressing quickly on the follow-up. He has written many Award Winning Poems and is highly recognized for his achievements, as a Poet and Biologist.
