MATRIX Resources Acquires Business Intelligence/Performance Management Firm Redwood Partners
Atlanta, GA, October 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- IT Staffing and Services leader MATRIX Resources announced today it has acquired Redwood Partners, an Atlanta, based Business Intelligence/Performance Management firm.
Effective immediately, Redwood Partners is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MATRIX, and will begin operating out of MATRIX‘s Atlanta headquarters.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Over 26 years, MATRIX has built a consistently profitable track record ($180 million revenue in 2008) as an “execution based” staffing and solutions services leader providing IT staff augmentation and project software delivery nationwide.
Redwood Partners fills in a missing piece in the MATRIX service portfolio, adding a “strategic consulting” component which bridges the gap between the C Suite and the IT organization for the delivery and use of information in strategic business decisions Their assessment and solution efforts will be targeted toward C-level individuals, particularly CFOs.
Principals of Redwood Partners, President Greg Boyd and Vice President Kwesi Oseitutu, possess an average 15 years experience in leading, architecting, and managing all phases of Performance Management and BI across numerous industries and Fortune 500 clients.
MATRIX Partner Bill Gower said, “For the past 26 years MATRIX has provided exemplary IT staffing services. Six years ago, we moved to create our Professional Services Division, developing software solutions for specific client needs. That initiative has yielded over 500 successful client projects. Today, we have taken another step forward with the acquisition of Redwood Partners. The combination of IT Staffing and Solutions in concert with BI/PM will provide great opportunity to deliver MATRIX clients even more value.”
Redwood Partners President Greg Boyd said, "The MATRIX culture of collaboration and balance make this an ideal fit for Redwood Partners. We want to create an environment where our teams “look forward” to Mondays, a stark contrast to the traditional big consulting firms. This “we care” philosophy comes through to our clients, facilitating a move from vendor to trusted partner and business advisor. MATRIX provides the ability for us to quickly execute with the right skills at the right time, vs. what is on the bench, and this is a key differentiator in the consulting world.”
Redwood Partners Vice President Kwesi Oseitutu said, “As the economy begins to recover, CEOs and CFOs will have to deal with pressures from the boardroom and shareholders to return to profitability...fast. Insight and visibility will be critical. Thus, we saw an opportunity to differentiate ourselves as advisors and be leaders in the marketplace by joining MATRIX, with its deep technical skills and proven solutions delivery.”
