Eagle Scout Networking Breakfast for Entrepreneurs Features Michael H. Holthouse
Entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael H. Holthouse will keynote an Eagle Scout Networking Breakfast for Entrepreneurs, Wednesday, November 11, 2009, 7:00 a.m. at the Cockrell Scout Center in Houston, speaking on “The Powerful Synergy of Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy.”
Houston, TX, October 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Michael H. Holthouse will be the keynote speaker at an Eagle Scout Networking Breakfast for Entrepreneurs, Wednesday, November 11, 2009, 7:00 a.m. at the Cockrell Scout Center. Holthouse will speak about the “Powerful Synergy of Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy.” The event is sponsored by The Gathering Of Eagles Association-Houston, an alumni group for Eagle Scouts living in the Greater Houston Area, and the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Michael Holthouse has been honored as INC. Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year and has received many other accolades. Holthouse grew his computer network services company to 27 offices and 1,600 employees in six years, and then sold the enterprise to Sprint in 1997. The Holthouse Foundation For Kids now focuses on proactive programs for at-risk youth. His philanthropic venture is called Prepared 4 Life, which sponsors Lemonade Day, a community wide education event teaching youth how to start, own and operate their very own “Lemonade Business.”
Joining Holthouse at the podium will be Eagle Scouts Bill Nash, founder and managing director of Endeavor Management, and Victor Koosh, chief executive officer of Caesar Systems. All three speakers will present opportunities in Scouting, including how to mentor youth in earning the Entrepreneurship Merit Badge in conjunction with the Lemonade Day program in 2010. The Sam Houston Area Council is a strategic partner for Lemonade Day.
The Eagle Scout Networking Breakfast for Entrepreneurs is open to all Eagle Scouts of all ages who are interested in entrepreneurship. The event will include 30 minutes of networking before breakfast is served, thus attendees are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards.
