VMC to Host WTIA’s Quality Assurance Special Interest Group for a Cloud Computing Panel Discussion
VMC is hosting the panel discussion “Forecast for Testing in an Online Environment: Cloudy” to the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) Quality Assurance Special Interest Group at their Redmond, WA headquarters on November 10, 2009.
Redmond, WA, October 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- VMC is hosting an encore presentation of its well-received STAR WEST 2009 panel discussion “Forecast for Testing in an Online Environment: Cloudy” to the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) Quality Assurance Special Interest Group at their Redmond, WA headquarters on November 10, 2009.
VMC’s panel will feature business leaders and quality assurance subject matter experts at a roundtable discussion on the best practices and pitfalls of testing in the cloud. Topics to be discussed include managing the interrelationship between software testing and hardware resources in cloud computing and mapping cloud architecture for deployment. Also being discussed is the need for a readiness assessment for cloud computing including current state analysis, infrastructure planning, implementation of services, security, and maintenance programs, and environmental planning. The discussion concludes with a discussion on how test engineering differs in a cloud environment, how automation is a factor, and the necessary environment and skill-sets for test programs in the cloud.
