ActionCOACH Gaylene Hughes is Determined to Coach Parent Help Wellington to Hit Its Goals
Business Coach Gaylene Hughes is coaching Parent Help Wellington to achieve goals via ActionCOACH’s Coaching for a Cause program.
Las Vegas, NV, October 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Gaylene Hughes has a lot of experience coaching several different types of businesses – start-ups, small but profitable businesses – but she hadn’t yet coached a charity.
When ActionCOACH initiated Coaching for a Cause, a worldwide program where ActionCOACH Business Coaches donate time to coach a charity or non-profit pro bono, Hughes knew it was the perfect opportunity for her to coach a charity she is passionate about: Parent Help Wellington.
Parent Help Wellington offers parents every sort of parenting support necessary, from a 24-hour telephone help line to counseling and family therapy to parenting education.
“I am passionate about this organization because we at ActionCOACH have families ourselves and we see that empowerment begins at home,” she said. “We were conscious to choose an organization that didn’t seem to be as well-funded or supported or as recognised as some of the others and caters for all families rather than those disadvantaged in some way. Any help that can be given to families in raising their children to become the best that they can be is great.”
Parent Help Wellington is looking forward to the coaching process.
“Our team are feeling really excited at the prospect of having Gaylene help us achieve our goals to become a recognised name for parents needing support, Manager at Parent Help Wellington, Dale Powles said. “It is great to be working with people who are as passionate about their cause as we are about ours.”
Hughes said she will help Parent Help Wellington achieve all the goals they’ve set. By donating approximately four hours a month for coaching, Hughes expects to build Parent Help’s capacity, pay the existing employees higher salaries, increase the organization’s membership and the number of parents who use the facility, and increase its overall visibility within the community.
“This is a team effort,” Hughes said. “I’m really excited about achieving results for our organisation. Parent Help Wellington has a great deal of knowledge and even in one session we were able to identify some opportunities. The challenge will be in bringing everything together in a short-time frame given their limited resources.”
Hughes said the Coaching for a Cause program is all-around truly inspiring, and she hopes ActionCOACH sets up more programs like this in the future.
“ActionCOACH’s global cause-related marketing initiative is awesome,” she said. “It sets us apart from many other organizations in our field and shows we have heart. It’s great!”
Coaching for a Cause is an innovative new program from ActionCOACH, the world's number one business and executive coaching firm that makes pro-bono coaching available to charities and non-profits worldwide.
