Outskirts Press Announces Publication of From Darkness to Light, by Lynn Christopher Roby, a Story of Faith, Courage and Hope
Fairfield, PA, October 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Dramatically subtitled My Journey Back from a Brain Filled with Blood, From Darkness to Light, published by Outskirts Press, is a rousing story about Lynn Roby’s life of miracles as she fights her way back from alcoholism and from a ruptured brain aneurism and continues on with a successful career helping thousands of others recover from this deadly disease.
After brain surgery and debilitating pain from her ruptured aneurism, Lynn came to believe that her creator allowed her to survive because “her work here was not done.” Turning to holistic healing techniques like yoga and acupuncture, she was able to overcome her own physical condition, just as she had been able to recover from an addiction to alcohol earlier in her life.
From Darkness to Light is the remarkable story of this journey.
Prior to her aneurysm Lynn tells of her surrender to and recovery from alcoholism and her career helping others similarly afflicted. Her tale is meant to inspire not only those who have suffered from aneurysms, alcoholism or abuse, but also those who can relate to such pain and suffering and find hope in Lynn’s own words of courageous recovery.
From a life dangerously close to an early end, Lynn has gone on to establish The Gettysburg Holistic Health Center, a Kripalu affiliated studio, where she helps others transform their lives from turmoil to surrender as they learn from her the faith and hope that carried her through.
At her Pennsylvania center, Lynn promotes the two ingredients one needs to begin a healthy life. One must have roots for a sense of belonging and connection that gives one a sense of safety and security about one’s own identity. One must also have wings to soar in order to achieve the freedom to be autonomous and to be able to accomplish one’s dreams.
Lynn Roby’s From Darkness to Light is an inspirational story that shows the miracles one’s life can be rewarded with when one takes a journey of faith, courage and hope.
