An Interactive Designer Had to "Un-Digitize" Herself to Come Up with This Vibrant Collection of Paintings on Modern and Traditional India
New York, NY, November 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Jayanthi Moorthy, a graphic designer by profession and a self-taught artist is holding a solo exhibition of her paintings called “Kriya” which opens on Nov 5th, 2009 at the Kirkland Gallery in New York. Her works have been exhibited in galleries in India. She tries to interpret the intricacies of life through her paintings and draws inspiration from her diverse cultural background as well as from her experiences in living in New York. “Painting allows me to be spontaneous with my creations and helps me stay in touch with my inner visions and emotions”. For her, this is a contrast to her profession as a digital designer (graphics and animation) where creations are made under constraints.
