FindingTheBand.com Unveils World’s First Online Record Company and IndieMusicStars.com

FindingTheBand.com has formed a partnership with John Martelli's and Former BillBoard Chart Topper, Freddie Scott's, MPI Records to form the first Online Record Company in the World. IndieMusicStars.com kicks off the search for talent to put on the label.

Los Angeles, CA, September 29, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Just days away from FindingTheBand.com’s official opening to the public, it announced its new partnership with John Martelli’s and Freddie Scott’s, MPI Records. MPI Records has 3000 square foot facility currently under construction in Deer Park, NY that includes a recording studio, a sound stage, and a night club setting with seating for up to 500. Kia McClain states, “I would like to thank John Martelli for this wonderful opportunity to pioneer a new movement in the music industry. This will open the flood gate for several hopefuls all over the world to become a star”. John Martelli is a long time A&R Director that has worked with many old school greats in the music industry. Freddie Scott is a former Billboard topper and R&B sensation with hits such as, “You Got What I Need”, dubbed by Biz Mark in the 1980’s, which led to his popular hip hop hit, “You Got What I Need” (He’s Just A Friend) which is still popular in hip hop communities today. Together John Martelli and Freddie Scott bring over 40 years of music industry experience to FindingTheBand.com. This new union’s first act of business is to promote Kool and The Gang’s newly released album, “Still Kool”, which is now available for sale.

FindingTheBand.com will recruit most of the talent for its new label from IndieMusicStars.com, its newly launched site that integrates indie bands and artists in a competition for the best. Kia McClain will be keeping a close eye on the talent, as the winner will not be the only one who is offered a record deal. Kia McClain has already spotted a few groups that she has extended the offer of a record deal to. Kia McClain brags on the plethora of talent that her sites have attracted, and states, “There are several great artists to hear on our sites, but I am amazed at how many stars I have spotted within the group. I look forward to giving my stars a chance to shine and storm the Billboard Charts with their new releases”. IndieMusicStars.com will also be a driving force for FindingTheBand.com’s new project, Indie Tubed or ITubed. This will be a network that is similar to MTV that will be on Internet TV. Indie artists will be able to broadcast their music videos to fans all over the world. Artists and bands will also be able to gauge their success with the public with Vote4MyBand, which will enable to the public to vote for their favorite songs. This tool will also help bands build their fan base. The final phase of the plan will be to add an online store in which artists and bands can sell their music from. Kia McClain has created a system in which all the artists are able to equally promote their albums rather than be lost in a large database on a website hoping someone will happen to click on their link so they can get a sale.

Right now, Kia McClain is intent on building a platform that is greater or equally competitive to the mainstream music industry. When asked what is the difference between her network and the other sites we see on the Internet, she replied, “There are several great sites out there, but I have not seen one where talent will not become a needle in a haystack, hoping that someone will come along and scan through the hundreds artists to find them This is just not reality, if major record companies didn’t have time to listen to piles of music coming through their mailboxes what makes you think they will sit down and sort through a database. I pick people who have enough talent to stand out and not bore you, and showcase them in entertaining broadcasts."
