Clean Out Your Closet & Fight Leukemia
Get that old tri gear out of the closet and recycle those old running shoes at the Team in Training kickoff meeting Nov. 7 in Atlanta.
Atlanta, GA, November 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Do you have some old triathlon gear or bicycle parts, you've been meaning to sell on eBay? Are your old running shoes taking up more than their fair share of the closet? Team In Training (TNT) of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has a solution for you.
TNT will host a gear sale and swap meet at the Spring '10 TNT Kick-off Meeting, November 7th in the gym at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, 3434 Roswell Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30305. TNT will also be collecting old running shoes for the Nike Shoe Recycle program. Nike is an official sponsor of the program.
Here's how it works:
RSVP to Lauren Schilt at lauren.schilt@lls.org to have a table reserved. Bring your gear to sell at the kick-off. You can keep the funds from whatever you sell or donate it to Team In Training. It's that simple. If you are not in the market to sell, remember to bring some cash, or your checkbook, and peruse the tables. You never know what may be available.
Old sneakers drive:
Bring any old pair of sneakers and drop them off in the bins at the Kick-Off. TNT will provide the shoes to the Nike Shoe Recycle Program.
