Federal Reserve Author G. Edward Griffin to Address Participants at Myrtle Beach Freedom Weekend
Conference November 14 and 15, 2009 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina filled with educational programs geared toward promoting the principles which the founding fathers adhered to in crafting the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
Myrtle Beach, SC, November 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Hundreds of concerned citizens will gather for the first Myrtle Beach Freedom Weekend, November 14 and 15, 2009, held at The Sands Ocean Dunes Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 'Patriot Expo of South Carolina' is a volunteer effort whose original purpose was networking with groups in South Carolina with true Constitutional interests and has expanded to include educational programs geared toward promoting the principles which the founding fathers adhered to in crafting the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. The growing encroachment of local, state and federal government into many areas of private life spurred volunteers to organize this event in the hopes of expanding awareness of these basic, yet important principles and values.
"It's going to take us, the citizens, putting so much pressure on our elected officials that they cannot take actions that violate the 28 principles of the United States Constitution," said Chappell Dew, co-organizer of the Myrtle Beach event. "We must focus on what we have in common and unite for individual liberty and limited government."
Unlike other movements that emphasize political ideologies, the Patriot Expo seeks to educate and enlighten citizens on the core values set forth in the United States Constitution and why these are important to protect the freedoms Americans cherish.
"It's doesn't matter whether you're a Republican or a Democrat," Dew said. "You're an American. It's important to prevent further intrusion of the government into private life. Our current state of affairs is not what the founding fathers intended."
The focus of the event will be Saturday's "Making of America" seminar, hosted by the National Center for Constitutional Studies. This seminar, based on the book The 5,000 Year Leap, outlined the 28 principles behind the drafting of the founding documents on which the United States was created and expected to function.
Saturday's Keynote dinner features G. Edward Griffin, best known for his book Creature from Jekyll Island – A Second Look at the Federal Reserve and Invisible Ballots, the original groundbreaking documentary on electronic vote fraud.
Griffin will also begin Sunday's general session, followed by Thomas Moore, a former defense department expert, Chairman of the Southern National Congress and founder of Southern Institute for Sustainable Living Inc., and Dr. Robert Nara, a retired dental expert whose focus on disease prevention led to a long battle with the American Dental Association resulting in two best-selling books on oral health.
The Patriot Expo will be held at The Sands Resort, 75th Avenue N, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15, 2009. A complete schedule of events, biographies of speakers, exhibitor list and exhibit information, and registration information may be obtained from the event website, www.patriotexpo.com or by calling 843-281-1527. Exhibit space is still available.
