Wilbur Wilde to Star in New Movie
Melbourne, Australia, November 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- TV personality, muso and allround good guy, Wilbur Wilde is set to expand his film CV having landed the key role of "Brother Jacob" in Pittot Films's upcoming feature "City of the Damned."
Wilbur said he was thrilled and delighted to have the opportunity to play this demanding role, its is going to be an exciting and thrilling film. "The script is amazing, I just couldn't put it down." He said recently. The story is about how easily we are swayed these days by TV and other media presenting things in a way that doesn't always fit well with the rights of the individual. Its somewhat reminiscent in some ways to a typical Tim Burton film (if there is such as thing, but certainly in that style). It follows a young man's descent into his own personal hell as he goes on a murderous rampage, spurred on by Wilbur's character.
"We're going to have a whole lotta fun with this character" said the films director Jonty Reason, "I'm chuffed to bits that Wilbur is on board, as soon as I read the script, I thought of him. Its got his name all over it. This has a very good chance of becoming one of those characters that live outside of the film, it won't surprise me to hear people quoting Brother Jacob in a years time."
Filming starts December and the film will be ready for release by the middle of next year. They are still talking to distributors for the movie and no firm decision has yet been made, so watch this space for further details in due course.
