VCSonline Reports VPMi SaaS Project Management Software Jumped 30 Percent in Revenue in 2009
VCSonline reports revenue from SaaS version of VPMi project management software has grown 30 percent in 2009 on the heals of the new VPMi version 4.5 for project and resource management.
St. Louis, MO, November 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- VCSonline has announced Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) revenues have jumped over 30 percent in 2009 in for their VPMi project management software. The VPMi is part of a fast growing segment of online business solutions that help a company's teams, customers, and suppliers collaborate virtually on project and resource management. As with many SaaS solutions, the VPMi allows for free trials with no servers to setup, software to install, or reports to configure. Billing is on a per user bases and the service is month to month with no contracts to sign or minimum user counts to maintain.
"We are really proud of the 30 percent SaaS growth we have achieved in 2009 and the money we have saved our clients performing project and resource management over the last 11 years, but honestly this is just the beginning for SaaS and VCSonline," notes VCSonline co-founder Jeff Pupillo. "People ask 'what is our secret' and it is simple. Provide customers with a free pilot, lower costs, no commitments, personal service, and the relentless release of new features that they tell you they really want," states Pupillo. "When you consider the success we are having in a severe recession and against the likes of the biggest software companies in the world you can see why we are bullish on the future."
"Many factors are driving adoption of SaaS, including the benefits of rapid deployment and rapid ROI, less upfront capital investment, and a decreased reliance on limited implementation resources," said Sharon Mertz, research director at Gartner. "Greater market competition and increased focus by the 'megavendors' is reinforcing the legitimacy of on-demand solutions. Many enterprises are further encouraged by the fact that with SaaS, responsibility for continuous operation, backups, updates and infrastructure maintenance shifts risk and resource requirements from internal IT to vendors or service providers."
