GoGirlsMusicFest celebrates its 10th anniversary tour this year, and GoGirlsMusic.com founder Madalyn Sklar and her team have selected a new beneficiary of the event's proceeds - the nation's maternity homes including The Wesley Inn Program of Promise House in Dallas, TX.

The Dallas Event will be held on November 20 from 7:30-11:00 pm at Opening Bell Coffee (1409 South Lamar, Basement #012, Dallas) and will benefit The Wesley Inn Program of Promise House, a maternity home that guides 14- through 20-year-old homeless pregnant and parenting teen mothers to become healthy, independent and nurturing parents.

Music for the Dallas event will be provided by Cary Cooper, Merry and the Mood Swings, Chelsea Madrigal and Jackie Doss. Donations will be accepted and a silent auction will be held with items donated from a variety of local businesses and sponsors. Admission is $10.00.

Following the launch, Sklar and her GoGirls Elite members will bring the best of independent women's music today to cities across the country, and work to educate their fans on the maternity homes that offer assistance to women in need at the most critical times in their lives. This year's GoGirlsMusicFest will reach San Francisco, CA; Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Long Beach, CA; New York, NY; San Diego, CA; Santa Clarita, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Venice, CA and Washington DC.

Sklar and the staff of GoGirlsMusic.com carefully review different charities and causes as the planning for GoGirlsMusicFest gets underway. One cause is then selected that will benefit from event proceeds. "With everything that has shaken our economic stability this year," said Sklar, "we felt it was critical to offer our collective voices to those organizations that assist pregnant women with professional help, loving support, housing, and education during their pregnancies. More and more people are forgoing medical care during this tough economy; expectant mothers should not have to struggle to have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies."

"Everyone here at GoGirls is excited to be working to increase awareness of maternity homes throughout the country," says Sklar. "Maternity homes have played such a key role in the lives of so many people, yet there are fewer and fewer of them every year, and the ones that survive often have very long waiting lists. Leveraging the GoGirlsMusicFest to help spread the word about important issues and causes is something I'm proud that we're able to do. We're thrilled to reach out to these organizations, and work with them and their clients as we hold our events around the country."

National GoGirlsMusicFest Coordinator, Evonne Rivera adds, "Most of these homes are run independently, without the help of a national organization. It fits perfectly with our independent artists helping independent charities."
