MDG Technology for SysML Released by Sparx Systems
Sparx Systems releases new product to support Systems Modeling Language (SysML) in Enterprise Architect 6.5
Creswick, Australia, October 03, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Sparx Systems (www.sparxsystems.com), a leading developer of UML modeling tools, today announced the release of MDG Technology for Systems Modeling Language (SysML). This new offering enables users of Sparx Systems’ award-winning modeling tool – Enterprise Architect – to model complex systems using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) Version 1.0.
Adopted in July 2006 by the Object Management Group (OMG), SysML is a domain-specific modeling language designed for systems engineering applications. It provides modeling constructs to specify system requirements, to design complex deeply-nested systems and to analyze their interaction and dynamics to enforce design correctness. SysML can be used to design systems containing components with hardware, software, data, personnel, facilities or procedures.
The MDG Technology for SysML is now available as a tightly-coupled add-in for the recently released Enterprise Architect 6.5, which also introduces support for UML 2.1 and XMI 2.1 serialization. In combination with these latest industry standards, the MDG Technology for SysML equips system engineers with modeling capabilities across each of the nine diagram types specified by SysML.
“The MDG Technology for SysML is one in a series of domain-specific modeling extensions we are developing for Enterprise Architect” said Sam Mancarella, CTO of Sparx Systems, “The combined power of EA’s UML-based team-oriented modeling, together with the language-specific support from the SysML add-in allows Sparx Systems to deliver a complete and effective, low cost modeling environment to system engineering teams.”
Sparx Systems’ flagship UML 2.1 product focuses on increasing user productivity for beginners and advanced users alike – as part of a strategy that has made Enterprise Architect one of the most popular modeling tools on the market. The same approach has been applied to the development of the latest SysML add-in. “The MDG Technology for SysML, together with EA’s perspective management, context sensitive ‘Quick Linker’ and custom diagrams makes it easy for a SysML modeler to get started – even if they’ve never used UML in the past” commented Geoffrey Sparks, CEO of Sparx Systems.
The MDG Technology for SysML is now available for evaluation and purchase. For more information email Sparx Systems or visit the Sparx Systems SysML website (www.sparxsystems.com/sysml).
