Alexandria, VA, November 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- CRA, Inc. announced today that it received a time and materials purchase order to provide exercise design and support services to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA). Under this tasking, CRA, Inc. will develop and deliver a comprehensive functional exercise that will provide an opportunity to assess the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s procedures for responding to a severe weather emergency in accordance with the National Weather Service Severe Weather Awareness Program.

The proposed exercise will allow Pennsylvania schools and child care facilities to conduct their annual disaster drill as required under Commonwealth statute. In addition, as many as five Commonwealth counties and municipalities also may participate, activating their emergency operations centers to evaluate the ability of their individual command structures to effectively respond to a severe weather emergency.

Keith DeVincentis, CRA Director of Prevention Technical Assistance said, “CRA looks forward to continuing our work with PEMA and helping further its mandate to secure the safety and well-being of communities throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”
