Collins, Einhorn, Farrell & Ulanoff P.C. Attorney Brown Named as a "Rising Star" in Michigan by Super Lawyers® Magazine
Geoffrey M. Brown receives distinction for the second year in a row for his work, which is focused primarily on defense of medical and legal malpractice cases at the appellate level.
Southfield, MI, November 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Geoffrey M. Brown, an attorney at Southfield-based Collins, Einhorn, Farrell & Ulanoff, P.C. (www.ceflawyers.com), has been named by Super Lawyers® magazine as a “Rising Star” in Michigan in the 2009 issue.
Brown received the distinction for the second year in a row for his work, which is focused primarily on defense of medical and legal malpractice cases at the appellate level. He joined the firm in 2005 after serving as law clerk to Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Henry William Saad.
A member of the governing council of the State Bar of Michigan Appellate Practice Section and Defense Research Institute, the Commerce Township resident also serves as vice chair for membership of the Oakland County Bar Association New Lawyers Committee and as information technology manager for the State Bar of Michigan Insurance and Indemnity Law Section.
The attorneys featured in Michigan Super Lawyers magazine are selected though a multi-step process. Candidates are nominated through a survey of more than 30,000 attorneys, direct contact with law firms and by reviewing trade journals, periodicals, databases and online sources. A blue ribbon panel of the top attorneys in each respective practice area evaluates the candidates. The final selection is then made by dividing the candidates by their firm size and selecting the top 5 percent.
The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process except that: 1) to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less; 2) Candidates for Rising Stars do not go through step three above—peer evaluation by practice area. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
Founded in 1970, Southfield, Michigan-based Collins, Einhorn, Farrell & Ulanoff, P.C. is a multi-specialty law firm providing clients with legal representation in all aspects of litigation, including, toxic tort, professional liability, commercial litigation and appeals.
