Can Social Media Change the Way a Screenplay is Bought and Sold in Hollywood

Greenstein-Shannon Management uses social media, blogging, tweets and social bookmarks to capture new writers.

Hollywood, CA, November 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Eric Greenstein and Rick Shannon recently opened a management company for screenwriters and creative talent. Opened for a mere two weeks, there are already two offers in the works for two different screenplays. There is a massive amount of reading to do as scripts show up daily at the door from hopeful writers around the country.

The technique to capture written pieces of work before anyone else is different. A lot of time is spent blogging, creating relationships on Facebook, Facebook business pages, tweets about the process on Twitter, using free web portal sites like webs.com, communicating with professionals on LinkedIn, free classifieds on craigslist and merchantcircle.com, and taking advantage of linking through RSS feeds.

The system works and it works well. A virtual net is set and the search engines are being massaged into thinking our sites and links are more relevant to related search terms than perhaps they really are. Not as relevant today….but if this keeps up…who knows.
