Faith Chapel Christian Center’s Jubilees to Perform with Gospel Artist, Kathy Taylor
Houston-based megachurch Windsor Village United Methodist Minister of Music, Kathy Taylor will sing at the Word Dome on Sunday, November 29, 2009.
Birmingham, AL, November 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- For the first time ever, Faith Chapel Christian Center’s senior adult choir, The Jubilees, will join forces with national gospel recording artist, Kathy Taylor, to minister in song. The performance will take place on November 29th at the 10 o’clock worship service at the Word Dome.
Kathy Taylor currently serves as the Minister of Music at Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston where Kirbyjon H. Caldwell is the pastor. She is also an accomplished community activist, songwriter, and producer, and is recognized for songs such as “Oh How Precious” and “I Really Am Grateful”.
Ms.Taylor’s musical gifts have brought her before both national and world leaders. She has ministered before Queen Elizabeth II, former President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Cicely Tyson, Maya Angelou, and many others. Ms. Taylor has received resounding critical acclaim for her outstanding, soul-stirring, and inspirational performances.

Kathy Taylor, an accomplished National Recording Artist, Minister of Music, songwriter, producer, and community activist has been appointed for a time such as this to bring music that not only inspires, but encourages, uplifts, and heals the spirit and soul of mankind. Ms Taylor currently serves as Minister of Music at Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston, which is the largest United Methodist Church in America, under the dynamic leadership of Pastor Kirbyjon H. Faith Chapel started in April, 1981 in Dr. Michael D. Moore's home in the Wylam community of Birmingham, Alabama. The church began with four people: Dr. Moore, his wife Kennetha, his mother, and a friend. In six months, the church grew then moved in June, 1981 to Stallworth Funeral Home. Within a year, the church re-located to the YWCA in downtown Birmingham. Today the congregation has reached over 7,000 members and is housed in the world’s largest monolithic dome. The Word Dome is located at 100 Lexington St, just blocks from the original church.
