Turn Off Stress, Turn on Your Life at the Wheel of Wellbeing Wellness Workshop

LA’s New “Scientific Sanctuary for Mind, Body and Spirit” Offers Half-Day Program Designed to Relieve Stress. Learn to Manage Your Stress Before the Holidays!

Los Angeles, CA, November 13, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Discover the freedom of vitality and health at Wheel of Wellbeing’s, The Joy of Wellness, an empowering half-day workshop designed to uncover the roots of stress, Sunday, December 6 from 12 noon to 4:30 p.m., with proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen Cure for Cancer.

The Joy of Wellness will feature interactive demonstrations, assessments, scans, stress-reducing recommendations and consults, and will wrap up with a “kirtan,” featuring inspiring music, fellowship, food and a raffle of services and gifts.

Hosted by Dr. Daniel D. Sadigh, Founder of Wheel of Wellbeing, the Wellness Workshop is an introduction to the unique “Scientific Sanctuary for Mind, Body and Spirit” that provides wellness resources on an unparalleled level in Southern California. Starting with a full slate of psychological and medical screening and assessments from certified experts, the Wheel of Wellbeing aims to support its clients’ growth and health within all eight of the “spokes” on a person’s wellness wheel:

· Physical vitality
· Mental outlook
· Emotional wellbeing
· Bodily sustenance
· Inter-personal relationships
· Sexual intimacy
· Financial confidence
· Creative and spiritual expression

Wheel of Wellbeing encompasses healing modalities from all disciplines--Eastern medicine, Western medicine, chiropractic, psychological screening and counseling, nutrition, physical therapy, yoga, sound healing, music and art therapy, hypnotherapy, and massage therapy, plus meditation and breath awareness training.

“There is no more pressing issue today for people than stress, and this has been a particularly difficult year for most people,” says Dr. Sadigh. “In introducing the Wheel of Wellbeing to the region, this stress-reducing Wellness Workshop is our gift to the community. We will be offering an exciting afternoon of interactive activities where people can identify their level of stress, the impact it has on their bodies, and what can be done to alleviate it. As we approach the holidays, it is especially helpful to diffuse the stress cycle before it becomes unmanageable.”

Some of the other stressors that are common today are the financial climate, marital stress, behavioral and learning disabilities in children, adolescent adjustment, addictions, career burnout, family dynamics, sexual difficulties, adults with childhood trauma, menopause, and navigating the various stages of life. Stress-reduction and adjustment to stress-response is a specialty at Wheel of Wellbeing.

Attendees will first have the opportunity to do a self-assessment of their stress level and then listen to short talks on the impact of stress and the value of strengthening all of the spokes on the “Wheel of Wellbeing” to reduce stress in one’s life. Expert practitioners will then offer hair follicle evaluations, body scans, muscle testing, blood pressure checks, body-fat-ratio calibration, and other illuminating screens. The Joy of Wellness workshop will close with an inspiring and interactive musical experience.

“We invite people to come down for an afternoon of education and joyful wellness,” says Dr. Sadigh. “At the Wheel of Wellbeing, we want to make a difference in people’s lives. In this short and valuable workshop, we’re pleased to be giving people an exclusive look at some life-enhancing resources easily accessible close to home and an opportunity to meet the experts who can tailor a program just to their needs.”

Tickets to The Joy of Wellness are $25 for the first 200 attendees and $47 after or at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased online at wheelofwellbeing.com. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to support finding a cure for breast cancer.
