The Music Museum Of New England is a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Proceeds of the benefit will support its mission to preserve, honor and showcase New England’s musical heritage. MM/ONE operates a website at www.mmone.org with information about artists, venues and other aspects of the musical history of the region. It is creating the Boston Music TrailTM, funded in part by a grant from Ernie Boch Jr.’s “Music Drives Us” foundation, featuring historical markers placed at sites of musical significance in conjunction with the Bostonian Society. MM/ONE is building an archive of musical artifacts and memorabilia, and ultimately will create a public exhibition facility. It recently received a donation of the 10,000+ LP library of pioneering FM station WBCN, which went off the air after rocking the Boston area for 41 years.
