Herrmann International Receives National Certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise
Herrmann International has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Greater Women’s Business Council, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The certification helps support clients' supplier diversity initiatives and commitment to fostering diversity throughout the supply chain.
Lake Lure, NC, November 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Herrmann International is pleased to announce that the company has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Greater Women’s Business Council, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
“This was an important effort for us,” says Ann Herrmann-Nehdi, CEO of Herrmann International, “because we know it’s important to our clients. We work with organizations that have a strong commitment to supplier diversity, and this gives them the level of assurance they need because it demonstrates that Herrmann has met the strict requirements of WBENC’s certification standards.”
Unlike other organizations that merely verify certification provided by other entities, WBENC is the only national organization providing a meticulous certification process that includes a detailed notarized affidavit, client interviews and site visits. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.
By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
