Truly Affordable Access for Primary Care Available in the Snoqualmie Valley
The Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District now offers prepaid Primary Care called Affordable Access. For a set monthly fee, members may schedule appointments as needed for preventative care, chronic disease management and in-office procedures. Same or next day evaluations are available for minor injuries as well as illnesses.
Snoqualmie, WA, November 15, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Since August, Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District has been offering a $30 per month primary care program. Members may choose a provider at North Bend Medical Clinic, Snoqualmie Ridge Medical Clinic or Fall City Medical Clinic and schedule appointments as needed for preventative care such as yearly exams, chronic disease management, and in-office procedures. Same or next day evaluations are also offered for minor injuries like cuts or sprains as well as illnesses such as cough, cold, sore throat or urinary tract infections. A $5 per visit fee applies as does a one time $45 set-up fee. Specialty and emergency room care are not included.
“I appreciate this a lot,” one patient at the North Bend Clinic recently remarked. “I haven't had any health insurance for a couple of years and anything to help lower costs would be wonderful.” Another patient commented, “I am really excited about this and we are already patients at the North Bend Medical Clinic. What a great option for people; I think it is absolutely fabulous you are doing this!”
“Affordable Access is not insurance but it is a way to receive primary care to get and stay healthy, and for when you have a short term or chronic health concern; it is a good choice for individuals, families, and employers” according to Kris Haight, Clinics Administrator. “Affordable Access can be seen as a compliment to a catastrophic insurance plan with a high deducible.”
“As a tax-payer supported Hospital District, it is our job to be the number one healthcare advocate for those who live and work in the Snoqualmie Valley” said Hospital CEO Rodger McCollum. “Affordable Access is just one of many examples of how we deliver quality care with a personal touch through our network of primary and specialty clinics, hospital and regional integration.”
