In that role, Mr. Assad is part of a team of 45 senior diplomats, ambassadors, and intelligence officials that advise Fortune 100 Companies and governments in Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean on Foreign Direct Investment, economic development, international trade, international relations, and security issues. In the late nineties, Mr. Assad served Delta Oil International as a Special Advisor to the Chairman and CEO, Sheikh Badr Al-Aiban; in that role, he was instrumental in the firm successfully managing its operations during the Asian Financial Crisis of 1998, including restructuring and saving the company’s $100 Billion development project encompassing 1.5 million acres in Southeast Asia. Mr. Assad is fluent in three languages, English, Arabic, and French. George Assad was awarded a Masters of International Management cum laude from Thunderbird University in 1996 and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Assad is involved with a number of charitable organizations, including the Tsunami Hospital Foundation, which he founded and for which he received the 2006 Humanitarian Award from the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce.
