New Aquaponics Book Explores Emerging Industry

The Aquaponics Guidebook provides an interactive tour of aquaponics, a way to grow fish and vegetables in a soil-less, recirculating water system.

Decatur, GA, November 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sustainable Design Group announces the release of The Aquaponics Guidebook, an interactive PDF book that explores this system of growing fish and vegetables. Aquaponics is in use around the world on a large and small scale and is able to produce high volumes of greens and fruiting vegetables using the waste of fish growing in separate tanks. It is similar to hydroponics but the only additive is fish food.

The Ecologist magazine calls the book "the ultimate inspiration for anyone interested by the idea of producing vegetables and raising fish on a micro-scale and in a sustainable way."

The 54-page book combines the depth and readability of a book with the links of a website, so readers are able to instantly access websites that provide a wealth of background information. The book is the first of a series written by Bevan Suits of Sustainable Design Group. Each new volume will address certain topics in greater depth. The book's website is: http://www.accesstoaquaponics.com/book.html
