Capital Indoor Flea Market Opens Floor Space to Accommodate Growing Number of Vendors
Santa Fe, NM, November 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Capital Indoor Flea Market is expanding its warehouse floor space to make room for more vendors and individual sellers as the demand for recycled and gently-used items increases. Located at 2869 Trades West Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87507, the Indoor Flea Market has also launched its website, http://www.capitalindoorfleamarket.com , which contains directions, vendor information and announcements, and a schedule of events. The next event is the Indoor Flea Market’s Kick-off of the Holiday Season on November 27, “Black Friday” – the day after Thanksgiving from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, in addition to its regular two-day (Saturday and Sunday) sales weekend. Saturday hours are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm; Sunday hours are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Fabulous and funky may be the words that best describe the Capital Indoor Flea Market of Santa Fe, NM. Tucked away in the Capital Moving and Storage warehouse in the midst of the industrial area on Trades West Rd., its outer appearance gives no hint of the treasures within. Each Saturday and Sunday vendors display their merchandise in true flea market style, selling everything from antiques and handicrafts to brand spanking new knives and leather bags. A thrifty shopper can find something to suit his or her needs and budget.
A great feature of Capital Indoor Flea Market, in addition to being indoors and away from the changeable New Mexico weather, is that its large space accommodates over-sized items such as sofas, beds, entertainment centers, washers, dryers, dish washers and dining sets among other large items. If you've got a good eye, you can find original works of art hanging next to mass-produced prints -- and get a bargain to boot. Against a backdrop of large, hunkering storage crates, a person can find new bed linens, gently-worn blue jeans, Waterford crystal, vinyl records, over-stuffed claw-foot chairs, recliners, DVDs and players, TVs, children’s clothes, arts and crafts, and many quality new but low-priced items.
Capital Indoor Flea Market is the brainchild of Liz Martinez and her son, Mark, who is vice president of Capital Moving & Storage which houses the flea market. The idea to have an indoor flea market occurred in the early spring of 2009 when Liz posted a notice to sell items abandoned by some of Capital's clients. The response was overwhelming and others asked if they could sell their items as well. Soon the Indoor Flea Market became a weekly event and continues to grow.
