New Book, Create Wealth with Homeownership, Teaches Home Buyers How to Avoid Foreclosure
Alameda, CA, November 21, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The vast majority of homeowners facing foreclosure in our country’s current economic state could have avoided such a disaster if they had simply prepared themselves by having an emergency fund, buying a lesser expensive home, and living within their means. Regardless of the circumstances of our economy, homeowners will always face financial hardships from job loss, medical expenses, or some other unexpected financial demand which puts a strain on their household cash flow, so why not be prepared in advance for such events?
With 45% of homebuyers being first-time home buyers (Per National Association of Realtors for September 2009), thousands of homebuyers who are tying to take advantage of the Home Buyer Tax Credit provided by the Obama Administration could find themselves unprepared financially for unexpected emergencies.
Teaching homebuyers, specifically first-time homebuyers, the financial responsibility required to create a healthy financial life as a result of owning an affordable home and preparing financially with savings and retirement is the primary focus of the new release Create Wealth With Homeownership by Douglas Boncosky. Douglas teaches in his new book that rather than focus on the color of the carpeting and walls, one’s primary focus should be on learning about the much more important aspects of homeownership that will more greatly impact one’s financial future. Those aspects that need much more attention include: 1) the history of appreciation; 2) how tax deductions impact one’s cash flow; 3) why buy a lesser expensive home; 4) why you must have an emergency fund; 5) why not to use all of your savings as a down payment; and, 6) why you must continue to save and invest for the future.
“As we get older we often say that I wish I knew then what I know now; so with this book, I want to share with the reader all of that knowledge now to help them avoid making the same mistakes I and so many others have made when buying a first home so that they can live a financially balanced life,” said the author Douglas Boncosky.
Create Wealth With Homeownership: Lessons on buying and owning a home & improving net worth is 277 pages and is currently available from all major booksellers and distribution channels. The website for the book is www.whyownahome.com ISBN-13: 978-1933255484
