Wiarton Willie is at It Again; Wiarton Willie Limerick Contest 2010

Wiarton, Canada, November 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Colpoy Creek Books is again sponsoring the Wiarton Willie Groundhog Day Limerick Contest. This year the contest is expanded to encourage entries from both elementary and secondary schools and a prize will be awarded to each school class that enters. Each student from the winning class will receive a copy of Wiarton Willie’s Adventures, the original printed book.

Although developed for public school delivery, Willie’s books, songs and line dance can also be used for effective and fun home school and daycare activities. Even the big kids (some retired school teachers themselves) are into the Limerick contest. See for yourself when you visit Willie’s web site and read some of last years entries.

First and second prizes include Wiarton Willie’s downloadable Play and Learn Activities Bundle with Wiarton Willie’s Adventures read-along book and Willie’s Song with line dance instructions and puzzles.

Anyone can enter by submitting a limerick (5-line poem) about Wiarton Willie. The content should be for a general audience including children so nasty stuff will not be entered. The contest ends Groundhog Day Feb 2, 2010.
