The National Community RX Assistance Program to Provide Prescription Assistance

Free Prescription Drug Card Offered to All US Residents.

San Luis Obispo, CA, November 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- All residents of the United States now have access to a free program that provides them immediate discounts on over 16,000 prescription drugs. The Free Discount Drug Card program is offered by The National Community RX Assistance Program and provides savings of up to 75% on prescription drugs, and is accepted at over 50,000 pharmacies across the country.

The National Community RX Assistance Program and www.FreeRxDrugCards.com was launched to help the more than 50 million uninsured and underinsured residents afford their prescription medications. The program can also be used by people who have health insurance coverage with no prescription benefits, which is common in many health savings accounts (HSA) and high deductible health plans. Additionally, people who have prescription coverage can use this program for non-formulary or non-covered drugs.

According to CEO Eric Brisgel, “The program allows people who simply can’t afford the high cost of prescription medications to get the life-sustaining and sometimes life – saving drugs they so desperately need. It’s both gratifying and shocking to read the thank you letters we receive from people, who without this program had no options and could not afford the meds they needed. It is our hope that we can provide this program to every man, woman and child in this country in need of assistance.”

The Free Discount Drug Card has no restrictions to membership, no income or age limitations, and residents are not required to fill out any applications or provide personal information to obtain a free card. Anyone can download a free card, search drug pricing, and locate participating pharmacies in their area at www.FreeRxDrugCards.com.
