Former Digitas Global CEO, Alan Rutherford, Joins Volume Group as Non-Executive Chairman
Wokingham, United Kingdom, November 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Alan Rutherford, former CEO of Digitas Global and ex-Head of Media at Unilever plc, comments on his decision to take a pivotal role in the future of one of the UK’s top 10 B2B marketing agencies:* Volume Group Ltd.
“Digital is fundamentally changing the approach to brand communication both in the B2B and B2C world. It’s impacting consumer behaviour, how consumers perceive brands, how they use media and how they purchase brands.
“Understanding the role that digital plays, how to execute digital solutions, plus real-time tracking, intelligent reporting and digital interaction are key. Volume is world-class in this area and the team has great ambitions to further build leading-edge capabilities.”
Volume Group Limited is an independent agency group that combines a variety of strategic, creative and technology-development communication disciplines for some of the world’s leading B2B brands. Through strategic consulting and planning across both business process and marketing execution, Volume is now one of the most experienced consulting and creative agencies working across B2B sectors, including technology, hardware and industrial verticals.
Chris Sykes, CEO, talks about how he sees Alan’s energy and drive adding to the group’s future success:
“With Alan’s experience as VP of Global Media for CPG giant Unilever, we are sure he can help us scope out leadership within the organisation to handle some of the increasing CPG client enquiries. With 21% growth this financial year and plans to expand our headcount by 30% in the coming financial year, Alan will be instrumental in helping us to take our inherent capability to measure, measure and measure some more; mould it and deliver it to B2C scenarios.”
Volume currently works for brands including Oracle, Dell and the entrepreneurial success-story Vets Now. This work supports both regional and global campaigns, as well as the measurement of pipeline performance through transactional marketing dashboards and CRM integration into campaigns.
The Volume Professional Services Practice also works with some of the world’s leading industrial and engineering organisations, including The Linde Group, BOC and ESAB.
