Expect NOTHING for Christmas
Whether you've been naughty or nice you may just end up with NOTHING for Christmas.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL, November 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Replacing the lump of coal as a gift idea; a box of absolutely Nothing can be the perfect gift for the bad boy in your family. If you think that's too harsh you can give them a box with a free t-shirt or you can throw something else in the box to make it more exciting. You can even buy nothing with a gift card which can contain the gift of your dreams.
Nothing is the perfect party gift. A gag gift that offends no one and can buy for only $4.99. How many times have you offered to bring something to a party only to have your host tell you to bring Nothing. Just imagine the look on their face when you do.
NOTHING is the brain child of Ken Cimetta owner of Cimetta Design Inc. a full service graphic design company in South Florida. The concept was originally developed as a promotion for his design studio in the mid 90's. NOTHING is a box attractively designed to sell a product. Even if the the product is NOTHING, the box looks like it's really something. Most boxes in the grocery store are designed to give a product a higher perceived value. They brandish slogans like 10% more, low calorie, new improved and dozens of other slogans and gimmicks to make you buy the product over it's competitor. The Box is an exercise in marketing strategy.
"I had a proof of the box sitting on my desk and an old customer of mine fell in love with the idea," said Ken Cimetta. He though it would be the next "Pet Rock." "We started a company and displayed the box at a trade show. The whole thing started taking off. People loved it. Unfortunately my partner became ill and died. His death was a shock, so I shelved the project. A couple of years later I was showing it to an attorney friend of mine. He loved the idea too. We started another company printed the boxes and t-shirts and got set up to do business. I was disappointed when my partner moved out of town and again Nothing happened. I haven't heard from him in a year so I decided to move on without him."
Now in the face of potential law suits over NOTHING, Ken is taking his product and offering it on the internet and is marketing it as the perfect gag gift idea or just a great gift idea in general. Will he be sued for NOTHING? "We will see," said Ken, "the web site was just launched, and there's really NOTHING to lose yet."
